1st - 5th Grade Program

Campers are assigned to a small group with children from the same grade and children one grade lower or higher.  Our staff are assigned to a grade level and plan activities specific to the group.

Recreation:

CUPC is committed to instilling habits of physical fitness in all of our campers. This means that we make an intentional effort to spend much of our program at local parks, such as Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. We guarantee that campers will be running around and having fun in the sun participating in our varied and exciting outdoor games and activities.

Interpersonal/Spiritual Development:

At CUPC Summer Camp, your child will learn valuable interpersonal skills through building new friendships with other campers from different racial and socio-economic backgrounds.  We will engage campers in intentional curriculum to build an understanding of compassion, basic conflict resolution skills, and cultural awareness. One of the main goals of CUPC Summer Camp is to also have our campers learn more about the Christian faith. Campers will engage in devotional lessons led by camp staff to encourage children to ask questions about the Christian faith and begin to embark on their own faith journey.(please see camp FAQ if you do not want your child to participate in religious programming).

Intentional Hands-on Based Curriculum

Campers will leave CUPC having experienced fun, engaging and challenging project- based activities in their groups. “Project-Based? means that campers “learn by doing.? Our campers embark on a process of inquiry in response to a question, problem, or challenge. One such activity is our “cookout? days where campers will take part in preparing ingredients for a meal they will enjoy together in their groups at the park.
